Zoro’s Three Sword Style arrived in Fortnite on November 1, 2026, with update v43.00 and the Treasure Hunters mini-season. It is part of the Fortnite One Piece collab and is currently the only melee weapon in the new loot pool.
The swords are Epic rarity and available in Battle Royale, Zero Build and Reload. You don’t need the Zoro outfit to use them. Epic’s Treasure Hunters announcement describes the item as three katanas built for close-range slashes and dashing in on opponents.
Steps to get Zoro’s Three Sword Style in Fortnite
- Queue for Battle Royale, Zero Build or Reload from the Play tab.
- Land at a named POI on Crossbones Isle, such as Arlong Park or Windmill Village, where buildings pack in more chests than open ground.
- Open every chest you pass. Fortnite.GG’s loot table puts the chest drop rate at 8.2%, against just 0.56% for floor loot, so chests are where to look.
- Pick up the swords and slot them in your hotbar next to a gun.
- Open Quests > One Piece to track the Three Sword Style damage objective.
The 8.2% figure works out to roughly one in 12 chests. Hence, a typical POI loot run gives you a fair chance, but no match guarantees a drop. Keep a shotgun or rifle in your loadout so a miss doesn’t cost you the game.
How Zoro’s Three Sword Style works

The weapon has two attacks, and the on-screen prompts show the exact button for your platform and bindings.
| Attack | Input | Damage | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slash | Fire | 45, 45, then 70 | 160 for the full three-hit combo |
| Dash | Hold ADS, release | 100 on contact | 12-second cooldown |
While you charge Dash, the swords deflect bullets fired at you from the front. Epic hasn’t documented the deflection, so don’t count on it against flanking fire.
Pressing Jump during Slash adds a short hop, which helps you stay on a retreating target. However, the movement is modest. Players who mained the old Kinetic Blade should expect a shorter gap-closer, not a long-range lunge.
Why Dash plus one combo wins most sword fights
A full-health, full-shield opponent has 200 total HP and shields. Dash (100) followed by one complete Slash combo (160) deals 260, so you have 60 damage of margin for a missed hit.
That makes the opening Dash the most important input. Charge it while facing the shooter, so the front deflection absorbs incoming fire, then release once they’re inside a few tiles. If Dash is on cooldown, back off behind cover for the 12 seconds rather than swinging into a shotgun.
The 700-damage Three Sword Style quest
The One Piece Episode 1 objective asks you to deal 700 damage to opponents with Zoro’s Three Sword Style, and it rewards 10,000 XP. Both Slash and Dash damage count, but hits on structures, trees and NPCs don’t.
Progress carries across matches. One Dash plus four full combos gets you there (740 damage), so you can split it over several fights.
Do you need the Zoro skin?

No. The weapon works with any outfit, and buying Zoro doesn’t change its spawn rate.
If you want the outfit anyway, top regional finishers can earn it in the One Piece: Zoro Cup on November 6. Zoro is also set for the Item Shop on November 7, which, given the 00:00 UTC reset, means 7 PM ET (4 PM PT) on November 6. Epic hasn’t announced his price yet.

Signing off
Zoro’s Three Sword Style rewards patience more than aggression. Wait for Dash, take fights near cover, and the 260-damage burst ends most close-range duels.
Treasure Hunters is a short mini-season, and Epic has teased a Chapter 7 finale event for December 5, 2026. The swords could leave the loot pool with it, so finish the 700-damage quest while they’re still dropping.
It is Epic rarity, and Fortnite.GG’s loot table lists it the same way.
Slash deals 45, 45 and 70 for a 160-damage combo. Dash deals 100 on contact.
Yes. It drops in Battle Royale, Zero Build and Reload.
No. It deflects bullets fired at you from the front while you charge it, and Epic hasn’t documented that as full invulnerability.
The Gum-Gum Fruit, Flame-Flame Fruit, Usopp’s Slingshot and Nami’s Tangerine all joined the loot pool on November 1, 2026.
