Fortnitemares 2026

Halloween lands on the final weekend of Fortnitemares 2026, so your costume can match the skin you run in-game tonight. Spirit Halloween sells an officially licensed Fortnite line this year, and several of the season’s horror skins make easy DIY builds from clothes you probably already own.

Spirit’s 2026 Fortnite costumes cost $39.99 to $49.99 in Spirit stores, on its website, and on Amazon (sold by Spirit). Shipping is too slow for tonight, so your best options are in-store pickup or Spirit’s same-day Instacart delivery. Matching in-game skins sit in the Fortnite Item Shop, which resets at 5 PM PT (8 PM ET).

Official Fortnite costumes to buy

1. Peely

  • Price: $49.99 (adult), $39.99 (kids)
  • Release status: At Spirit, while stock lasts

Peely is the only design Spirit sells in both adult and kids sizes, which makes it the go-to for family or group costumes. Add the Peely Pick pickaxe prop for $39.99.

2. Peely Bone

  • Price: $49.99
  • Release status: Kids only

The skeleton version of Peely fits Halloween better than the standard banana. Pick it if your kid wants Peely but still wants to look spooky.

3. The Foundation

  • Price: $49.99
  • Release status: Kids only

Spirit includes a muscle jumpsuit, velcro cape, belt, and light-up mask. It’s the most detailed costume in the line, and the mask keeps kids visible after dark.

4. Fishstick

  • Price: $39.99
  • Release status: Kids only

Fishstick ties The Brat as the cheapest costume in the lineup. It’s a safe, recognizable pick for younger players who don’t want horror themes.

5. The Brat and Hot Dog The Brat

  • Price: $39.99 (kids), $49.99 (adult)
  • Release status: Separate kids and adult versions

The bratwurst mascot is the second design with an adult option. If you’re planning a food-skin group with Peely and Lil Whip, it completes the set.

6. Lil Whip

  • Price: $49.99
  • Release status: Kids only

Lil Whip is the soft-serve ice cream robot. Pair it with the Light-Up Boogie Bomb prop ($14.99), which lights up and plays sound, for a party-ready look.

7. Beetlejuice

Build: Black-and-white striped shirt or suit, messy green-tinted hair spray, pale face makeup
In-game skin: 1,500 V-Bucks, or 2,400 V-Bucks for the bundle

This is the easiest DIY here because the stripes do most of the work. The skin ships with a Marquee sign back bling, which you can copy with cardboard and battery string lights. Trackers show the Beetlejuice set leaving on November 1 at 4 PM PT (7 PM ET).

8. Art the Clown

Build: Black-and-white clown suit, small black hat, white face paint, black lips, a black trash bag
In-game skin: 1,500 V-Bucks, or 2,200 V-Bucks for the bundle

The trash bag doubles as the Art’s Bag of Tricks back bling. Art the Clown returned to the shop on October 30, and Epic hasn’t listed an exit date.

9. Jack the Clown

Build: Orange wig, clown makeup, multicolor suit, long coat, a toy mallet
In-game skin: 1,500 V-Bucks (includes the Jack the Clown in the Box back bling)

Jack is Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights mascot, so thrift-store clown pieces get you most of the way. A toy mallet stands in for Jack’s Menacing Mallet. Jack the Clown is listed in the shop as of October 30.

10. Freddy Krueger

Build: Red-and-green striped sweater, brown fedora, a bladed prop glove
In-game skin: 1,600 V-Bucks, or 2,300 V-Bucks for the bundle

Freddy is one of the most recognizable horror looks, and a single costume-shop trip covers every piece. The in-game outfit includes the Freddy’s Glove pickaxe, which matches the prop. The Freddy Krueger skin is in the shop as of October 30.

What a matching in-game skin costs in real money

Since Epic’s March 19, 2026 V-Bucks repricing, 800 V-Bucks cost $8.99 and 2,400 V-Bucks cost $22.99. Two 800 packs ($17.98) cover any 1,500 or 1,600 V-Bucks outfit above, and one 2,400 pack covers the Beetlejuice, Art the Clown, or Freddy Krueger bundle.

Fortnitemares wraps up with this weekend’s season change, and the Treasure Hunters mini-season is expected around November 1. Expect the horror sections to rotate out of the shop soon after.
