Fortnitemares 2026 went live on October 1 with update 42.30, and Epic is releasing a new horror collab almost every day. After Five Nights at Freddy’s and Freddy Krueger, Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights mascot Jack the Clown reached the Item Shop on October 5, 2026, at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT).
The crossover runs both ways. Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood both have Fortnitemares scare zones at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, and Jack now has a playable skin on the island. However, the shop listing is smaller than pre-release reports suggested, and one item in it changes how you should spend your V-Bucks.
How to buy the Jack the Clown Bundle in Fortnite

The Jack the Clown Bundle costs 2,000 V-Bucks in the Item Shop. Here’s how to get it:
- Launch Fortnite and open the Shop tab from the lobby.
- Scroll to the Halloween Horror Nights section.
- Select the Jack the Clown Bundle tile. The tile for the outfit alone is labeled Jack the Clown.
- Press and hold the Purchase button to confirm the 2,000 V-Bucks payment.
- Open the Locker and equip the outfit, back bling, pickaxe, and emote.
At the time of writing, Epic’s listing shows the offer leaving the shop on October 11, 2026, at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT). That gives it a six-day run, so don’t plan around the end of Fortnitemares.
What’s in the Jack the Clown Bundle and how much each item costs

The bundle contains four cosmetics from the Halloween Horror Nights set, all introduced in Chapter 7 Season 4. These are the prices on Fortnite.com:
| Offer | Type | Price | Included in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jack the Clown | Outfit + Back Bling | 1,500 V-Bucks | Outfit offer, Bundle |
| Jack the Clown in the Box | Back Bling | 400 V-Bucks | Outfit offer, Bundle |
| Jack’s Menacing Mallet | Pickaxe | 800 V-Bucks | Bundle |
| Chainsaw Balloon | Emote | 300 V-Bucks | Bundle |
| Jack the Clown Bundle | All four items | 2,000 V-Bucks (was 2,600) | n/a |
1. Jack the Clown
Type: Outfit
Detail: Uses Jack’s park look: orange hair, clown makeup, a multicolor suit, and a long coat. Epic does not sell the outfit separately. Its 1,500 V-Bucks offer also includes the back bling.
2. Jack the Clown in the Box
Type: Back Bling
Detail: Elim reactive, with selectable styles. The jack-in-the-box reacts when you get eliminations.
3. Jack’s Menacing Mallet
Type: Pickaxe
Detail: The in-game description names “Mr. Schmidt,” a reference to Jack’s surname in Halloween Horror Nights lore.
4. Chainsaw Balloon
Type: Emote
Detail: A balloon-animal routine that ends with a chainsaw, matching Jack’s carnival-killer backstory.
Is the bundle worth it, or should you buy the outfit alone?
The bundle saves you 600 V-Bucks, not 1,000 as some reports claim. Because the 1,500 V-Bucks outfit offer already includes the back bling, buying every item separately costs 2,600 V-Bucks (1,500 + 800 + 300). The 3,000 figure counts the back bling twice.
This changes the decision:
- You only want the skin: Buy the 1,500 V-Bucks outfit. The elim-reactive back bling comes with it.
- You want the pickaxe or emote too: Get the bundle. It costs 500 V-Bucks more than the outfit and adds both items, which would cost 1,100 V-Bucks bought separately.
- You want only the emote: Buy Chainsaw Balloon on its own for 300 V-Bucks.
For most players, the outfit offer is the better value. The back bling is the set’s standout piece, and it is already included.
Don’t confuse Jack the Clown with the free Jack-A-Nape skin
Jack the Clown can’t be earned for free. Fortnitemares does include a free skin with a similar name, Jack-A-Nape, and searches for the two often get mixed up. Jack-A-Nape is a wind-up monkey outfit that unlocks after you complete all 26 Nitemare quests. The track also includes Jack’s Tambourine pickaxe.
Those rewards stay available until October 31, 2026. Our free Fortnite skins guide covers the full quest track. Jack the Clown is sold only in the Item Shop for V-Bucks.
Where is HamiKuma?
Universal’s October 1 announcement named two Halloween Horror Nights skins: Jack the Clown and HamiKuma, a candy-filled zombie bear that debuted at Universal Studios Japan in 2022. As of October 8, 2026, only Jack’s offers appear in the Halloween Horror Nights shop section. Epic hasn’t given HamiKuma a shop date, so the bear may arrive at a later reset.
Signing Off
Jack the Clown is one of the few Fortnitemares 2026 collabs built on a theme-park original rather than a film or game, and his shop window is short. Fortnitemares still has more collabs to come, including the Hollow Knight Sidekick, so plan your V-Bucks before October 11.
