The Knight from Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight is coming to Fortnite. Epic Games listed Hollow Knight among its October crossovers in the official Fortnitemares 2026 announcement on October 1, 2026. The collab arrives during Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, titled Override, less than a week after the FNAF Fortnite bundle.
There’s no Knight outfit. The Knight comes as a Sidekick, so it follows your character around instead of replacing your skin. Below, you’ll find the release time, every leaked item and price, and the Hollow Knight reference behind each cosmetic.
When does the Hollow Knight collab release in Fortnite?
The Hollow Knight items are scheduled for the Item Shop on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. According to VICE, the date is part of the first two weeks of Fortnitemares shop dates that Epic confirmed on social media.
Fortnite’s Item Shop refreshes daily at 00:00 UTC. That works out to 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on October 6, or 5:30 AM IST on October 7. However, VICE’s bundle report gives a later window of 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on October 7. If the Knight isn’t in your shop after the first refresh, check again after the next one.
Hollow Knight Fortnite cosmetics: Full list
Epic hasn’t published the item list yet. The details below come from dataminers HYPEX and FireMonkey, so names and prices could change when the shop goes live.
1. The Knight Sidekick
- Type: Sidekick
- Styles: Default, Shade
- Leaked price: 1,500 V-Bucks (includes a banner icon and the bench emote)
The Shade style refers to the dark echo the Knight leaves behind on death in the original game. In Hollow Knight, you have to defeat your Shade to get your lost Geo back.
2. Knight’s Bench Emote
- Type: Sidekick emote
- Leaked price: Included with the Sidekick
The emote shows you and the Knight sitting on a bench while music plays. Benches are Hallownest’s save and rest points, which makes this the most recognizable reference in the set.
3. The Knight’s Nail Pickaxe
- Type: Pickaxe
- Leaked price: 800 V-Bucks
The Nail is the Knight’s only weapon in Hollow Knight. Early leaks listed this item under the internal codename “Far,” so the final shop name may be different.
4. Hallownest Grub Back Bling
- Type: Reactive back bling
- Leaked price: 400 V-Bucks
A Grub sits inside a glass jar and reacts when you get an elimination, open a chest, or get knocked. In the original game, you free trapped Grubs from jars and turn them in to the Grubfather for rewards. Of the four items, this is the one with the most gameplay reactions.
Hollow Knight Fortnite bundle price
| Item | Leaked price |
|---|---|
| The Knight Sidekick (with emote and banner) | 1,500 V-Bucks |
| The Knight’s Nail Pickaxe | 800 V-Bucks |
| Hallownest Grub Back Bling | 400 V-Bucks |
| Bought separately | 2,700 V-Bucks |
| Bundle (estimated) | About 1,600 V-Bucks |
At about 1,600 V-Bucks, the bundle saves you roughly 1,100 V-Bucks, a discount of about 40%. It’s also much cheaper than the FNAF bundle, which GosuGamers lists at 4,500 V-Bucks. That gap makes sense because there’s no full outfit here.
If you only want one item, buy the Sidekick. It’s the main piece of the set, and the bench emote comes with it.
How Sidekicks work in Fortnite
Epic launched Sidekicks on November 1, 2025. They follow you in Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, and creator-made experiences, and they react to what happens around you. You can rename a Sidekick and change its accessories at any time. Epic’s support page explains where to equip and customize Sidekicks.
Epic hasn’t said whether the Knight supports the same appearance customization as original Sidekicks like Peels. If you want a companion without spending V-Bucks, the free Jimothy Sidekick is available through Fortnitemares 2026.
Other Fortnitemares 2026 collabs
Fortnitemares 2026 started on October 1 and runs through November 1, according to Insider Gaming. Hollow Knight is one of several crossovers on the shop schedule:
| Collab | Shop date |
|---|---|
| Five Nights at Freddy’s | October 1 |
| A Nightmare on Elm Street | October 2 |
| Black Clover | October 3 |
| Halloween Horror Nights | October 5 |
| Hollow Knight | October 7 |
| Stranger Things | October 8 |
Hazbin Hotel and Beetlejuice are confirmed for later in the event but don’t have dates yet. For the map and mode changes that came with the event, see the Fortnite 42.30 patch notes.
Signing Off
This collab focuses on companion cosmetics, and the set is small but closely tied to the source game. Hollow Knight: Silksong released in September 2025, so a Hornet item could follow later. Neither Epic nor Team Cherry has hinted at one. For now, the October 7 shop is the only confirmed Hollow Knight drop, and it’s a limited-time listing.
