Fortune Sprites arrived with Fortnite Treasure Hunters on November 1, 2026, the One Piece-themed mini season that launched with update v43.00. The ruby-red finish is a variant style layered on top of the season’s new base Sprites.
Every Fortune Sprite keeps its base ability and adds one bonus: it reveals nearby Chests, per Epic’s Treasure Hunters announcement. As of writing, 10 Fortune variants are live. An 11th, Fortune Lil’ Uzi Vert Jr., is listed on Fortnite.GG but can’t be caught yet.
What Fortune Sprites Do in Fortnite
Fortune is a style, not a separate Sprite. You get the base power, such as Halfpeel’d marking eliminations, plus a chest reveal around you.
That makes Fortune the safer of the season’s two new finishes. Cursed Sprites raise your odds of rare variants but make water damage you, which works against Kelper and Barry O’Fish. Fortune carries no drawback.

Epic hasn’t published rarity tiers this season, and trackers disagree on several. They do agree on Plundarrgh as Mythic and Halfpeel’d, Re-Pete and Barry O’Fish as Rare. Sweet Dreams and Transponder Snail have no Fortune version.

How to Get Fortune Sprites in Fortnite
Fortune Sprites have no fixed spawn points. They come from the same pool as base Sprites, so the route is identical:
- Find a Wanted Poster on a wall. Posters cluster around POIs and spawn in larger numbers this season.
- Tear it down to turn it into a Sprite Treasure Map.
- Follow the map and dig up the buried Sprite Chest with your Pickaxe.
- Open the chest. It always holds a Sprite, but the style is random.
Sprites also drop from regular Chests at a low rate, from eliminated players carrying one, and from Captain’s Day bosses. Epic confirms A$AP Rocky, the first boss, can drop the Lil’ Flacko Sprite, but hasn’t said whether the Fortune style can drop. One tracker reports a ruby Sprite Chest that guarantees a Fortune Sprite; Epic hasn’t confirmed it.
Best Fortune Sprites to Hunt First
The chest reveal stacks on the base power, so some Fortune variants do double duty:
- Fortune Exmarks: Shows Wanted Posters and nearby Chests, which speeds up hunting every other Sprite.
- Fortune Plundarrgh: The chest reveal feeds straight into its speed boost on opening Chests.
- Fortune Chester: You find more Chests, and each one has a shot at extra loot.
- Fortune Wayfinder: Spots nearby Sprites and Chests at the same time.
When posters run dry, a Lucky Locator from the Mastery track points you to buried chests.
Farm Fortune Sprites Faster on Mastery Monday
Mastery Monday runs every Monday from 9 AM ET (6 AM PT) with 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust all day. Today, November 2, is the first one of Treasure Hunters, and recent leveling changes already make Sprites quicker to max.
The reworked Mastery track sits under the Treasure tab, with a new page unlocking weekly. Mastering 40 Sprites unlocks the Navigator’s Nosedive Umbrella. Since the season’s Sprite count includes variants, Fortune styles are the fastest way to reach that number.
Wrapping Up
Epic lists Lil Uzi Vert’s arrival for November 7 (Week 2), which makes that the likeliest window for Fortune Lil’ Uzi Vert Jr. Epic hasn’t confirmed a date for the Sprite itself.
Gold Sprites follow on November 12 with bonus elimination XP, while the remaining Cursed styles have no date yet. With the Chapter 7 end event set for December 5, Fortune is the variant to chase now, especially if you’re also working through the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass and the wider One Piece collab.
