Fortnite Treasure Hunters went live on November 1, 2026, with update v43.00, adding 11 new Sprites to Crossbones Isle. Sweet Dreams is the hardest of them to collect. It is Mythic, and as of November 5, 2026, it does not drop from regular chests.
Per Epic’s Treasure Hunters announcement, Sweet Dreams is a relative of the Dream Sprite. It grants a random item on every level-up and pays out Mythic loot at max level. It costs no V-Bucks, but you need a Lucky Locator to find it and a quick extraction to keep it.
What the Sweet Dreams Sprite Does in Fortnite
Sweet Dreams drops a random item each time it levels up, and the item rarity climbs with every level. At Level 5, it bursts into Mythic loot, extracts itself and resets to Level 1.

Because it extracts itself at Level 5, you cannot get a Mastered copy through a trade.
How Sweet Dreams Differs From the Dream Sprite
The loop matches the Dream Sprite from Chapter 7 Season 3, Runners, but the payout and the hunt are both harder.

Owning the Dream Sprite does not count toward Sweet Dreams. Sprite trackers list them as separate entries.
Steps to Find the Sweet Dreams Sprite in Fortnite
A Lucky Locator always points to the closest Sprite you have not collected. The trick is to make Sweet Dreams the only Sprite left for it to find.
- Collect every other Treasure Hunters Sprite first. Each one you own, like Plundarrgh, removes a possible Lucky Locator target.
- Get a Lucky Locator. Earn it on the Sprite Mastery track under the Treasure tab, which adds a page each week. It can also drop as a random Gizmo from Treasure Chests, with every squad member getting one.
- Use the Lucky Locator in a match and follow its ping.
- Extract it right away. Place a Portable Extractor as soon as you pick it up. Die first and you lose it.
- Confirm it in the Sprites screen in the Lobby.
Trading is the only other reliable route. If a friend already owns Sweet Dreams, a trade skips the Lucky Locator grind. Some guides expect it to join Sprite Chest and regular chest drops later in the mini season, but Epic has not confirmed that.
How to Get More Out of Sweet Dreams
- Know your risk window. Sweet Dreams is only at risk between pickup and Level 5, since hitting Level 5 extracts it for you. Until then, keep a Portable Extractor or Extraction Accelerator Gizmo ready.
- Equip it on landing. It levels as you earn match XP, so an early equip means more item drops before the endgame.
- Play on Mastery Monday. Every Monday from 9 AM ET (6 AM PT), Epic doubles Sprite XP and Sprite Dust, so Sweet Dreams reaches its Mythic payout faster. Our Sprite Power Hour schedule covers the other boosted windows.
Clear the pool faster. Fortune Sprites reveal nearby chests, which speeds up collecting the rest of the set.

Sweet Dreams is the toughest Treasure Hunters Sprite to collect right now, and Lucky Locators remain the only confirmed way to track it down until Epic adds it to chest drops.
Cursed Sprites are next, with reported dates ranging from November 7 to 8, and Gold Sprites follow on November 21. No Sweet Dreams variant is listed yet, though that could change.
