October 2026 has arrived, and with it comes the one month each year when Roblox puts the Headless Horseman bundle back in the Marketplace. The bundle first launched on October 31, 2013, and it remains the only official way to own the Headless Head, the most sought-after avatar item on the platform.
This year’s window looks different for two reasons. Roblox replaced Premium with Roblox Plus on April 30, 2026, which changes how much you actually pay. Moreover, the Dynamic Head rollout earlier this year briefly broke the Headless Head for some existing owners. Below, you’ll find the price, the cheapest legitimate route, and what changed in 2026.
When is Headless available in Roblox?
Headless sells only in October. Roblox has followed the same pattern for years: the bundle goes on sale around October 1 and comes off sale around November 1. In 2025, it returned on October 1, 2025 and stayed until the start of November.
As of writing, Roblox hasn’t published an official 2026 date, but trackers such as Roblox Status already expect the bundle to return this month. Check the Headless Horseman bundle page directly. If the Buy button is active, the sale is live.
How much does Headless cost?
The Headless Horseman bundle costs 31,000 Robux. Roblox hasn’t changed that price since launch, apart from Memorial Day sales in 2015 and 2016 that dropped it to 24,800 Robux.
Roblox Plus subscribers now pay less. Plus gives 10% off avatar items, rising to 20% after three consecutive months of membership.
| Buyer type | Robux price | Cheapest Robux packs to cover it | Approx. cost (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| No subscription | 31,000 | 3x 10,000 + 3x 400 | $314.94 |
| Roblox Plus (under 3 months) | 27,900 | 2x 10,000 + 1x 4,500 + 2x 1,700 | $289.95 |
| Roblox Plus (3+ months) | 24,800 | 2x 10,000 + 1x 4,500 + 1x 400 | $254.96 |
USD figures use the standard Robux packs ($99.99 for 10,000, $49.99 for 4,500, $19.99 for 1,700, $4.99 for 400) and exclude tax and the $4.99 monthly Plus fee. Prices vary by platform and region, so check your own store before buying.
Importantly, the 20% tier only helps if you subscribed by late July 2026. If you join Plus now, you’ll hit three months in January 2027, after Headless goes off sale. In that case, the 10% tier saves 3,100 Robux this year, and a subscription kept running through 2027 gets you the full 20% next October.
How to buy Headless in Roblox

- Open the Roblox app or roblox.com and sign in.
- Search Headless Horseman in the Marketplace, or open the bundle page.
- Make sure your balance covers the price shown (31,000, 27,900, or 24,800 Robux).
- Click Buy and confirm the purchase.
- Go to Avatar, then Heads, and equip the Headless Head.
The purchase is permanent. Once Headless goes off sale, the bundle stays in your inventory, but you can’t trade or resell it.
What’s in the Headless Horseman bundle?
The bundle is a full avatar package, not just a head:
- Headless Head: The main draw. Technically, Roblox scales the head to 0,0,0 rather than deleting it, so a tiny point remains if you zoom in extremely close.
- Headless Horseman torso, arms, and legs: The rest of the classic Headless Horseman body.
- Headless Horseman’s New Head: A pumpkin gear item first listed as part of the package.
Most players equip only the Headless Head and keep their own body and clothing.
Headless and the 2026 Dynamic Head update
Roblox announced its new head policy on January 30, 2026. Non-compliant classic heads left the Marketplace on March 3, 2026, and creators had until June 15, 2026 to update older heads.
The rollout caused problems for Headless owners. In March 2026, one player reported the Headless Head vanished from their inventory and saved outfits. Another report on April 9, 2026 showed the item missing from the Heads section. Roblox staff confirmed a fix on April 30, 2026.
If you already own Headless and can’t find it, check Inventory first, then file a report with Roblox Support. Additionally, many free “fake headless” tricks in older guides relied on classic heads that may no longer exist in the Marketplace after the March cutoff.
Avoid free Headless scams
Roblox never gives Headless away for free, and no promo code unlocks it. Scams spike every October, so watch for these:
- Free Headless codes that ask for your password, a survey, or a download
- Browser extensions or console scripts that claim to add Headless to your account
- Third-party sellers offering Headless accounts or cheap Robux
Buying an account or using unofficial tools can get you banned, which you can check through your Roblox account status. Furthermore, stick to vetted add-ons from our Roblox Chrome extensions safety guide, since no extension can grant catalog items.
Signing Off
Headless remains Roblox’s most expensive regular item, and the October sale is still the only way to get it. Roblox Plus makes 2026 the first year most players can pay less than 31,000 Robux. However, with the Dynamic Head transition still settling, keep an eye on whether Roblox updates the Headless Head itself in future sales.
Headless is the Headless Head from the Headless Horseman bundle. It makes your avatar appear to have no head.
You need 31,000 Robux at full price. Roblox Plus members pay 27,900 Robux, or 24,800 Robux after three straight months.
Headless returns every October and usually leaves around November 1. As of October 1, 2026, check the bundle page to confirm the 2026 sale has started.

No. Some owners lost access in March and April 2026, but Roblox staff confirmed a fix on April 30, 2026.
