There is one restriction: the Fortnite cosmetics must have been purchased within the previous 12 months to qualify for the 1,600 V-Bucks grant.
So, if you want the skin in October but aren’t ready to commit to the full game, you don’t necessarily have to choose between the two. If you refund your eligible Phantom Blade Zero purchase through the Epic Games Store, Epic says the Soul Outfit, Sanguine Pickaxe, and Sanguine Back Bling will also be removed from your Fortnite account.
If you received the 1,600 V-Bucks grant because you already owned the cosmetics, that grant can also be removed after refunding the qualifying game purchase.
In other words, buying the game, claiming the Fortnite cosmetics, and then refunding Phantom Blade Zero isn’t a way to keep the Soul bundle permanently.
How Long Is the Phantom Blade Zero Soul Skin Offer Available?
The early gift-with-purchase offer doesn’t end when Phantom Blade Zero launches.
According to Epic, the Soul Outfit and matching Sanguine cosmetics remain available as a gift with an eligible purchase for as long as Phantom Blade Zero is available for sale through the Epic Games Store.
The Item Shop availability is different, however. Epic has only confirmed the Fortnite Shop bundle from October 29 at 8 PM ET through November 5 at 7 PM ET.
So, if you only want to spend V-Bucks, that October-November window is the one you’ll want to remember.
