Huss Valley Tier List

Huss Valley, the Roblox tag game from Huss Valley Official, launched on August 31, 2026. It has since passed 108.7 million visits and hit an all-time peak of 174K concurrent players in October. The October 11 update added a code system, and the shop now lists 10 abilities: five for Runners and five for Chasers. Our full Huss Valley abilities guide covers how each one works.

This tier list ranks Runners and Chasers separately. You equip one Runner ability and one Chaser ability at a time, so a Runner tool never competes with a Chaser tool for the same slot. The rankings below compare each ability’s effect, duration and Gem cost against the other options in its role.

Runner abilities ranked

1. Emergency Airhorn

Tier: S
Cost: 1,450 Gems or 459 Robux
Effect: Blasts nearby Chasers backward in every direction
Best moment: Late in a round, when two or more Chasers close in at once

Every Runner who takes a knife hit switches sides, so the Chaser count grows as a round goes on. Airhorn is the only Runner ability that answers several Chasers at once. That makes it the standout pick for surviving the final crossings, when getting surrounded becomes the main threat.

2. Pocket Door

Tier: S
Cost: 875 Gems or 279 Robux
Effect: Places a temporary door in front of you that Chasers must smash through or go around; lasts 6 seconds
Best moment: Chokepoints and the last stretch before the crossing line

Pocket Door is the cheapest paid Runner ability, and its 6-second duration is double Cloak’s. A Chaser either wastes time breaking it or loses ground going around. For 875 Gems, nothing else in the Runner shop buys as much time.

3. Cloak

Tier: A
Cost: 1,625 Gems or 519 Robux
Effect: Makes you disappear for 3 seconds; you can still be hit, using an item ends it, and nearby players see you faintly
Best moment: Changing direction right after breaking line of sight

Cloak is now the priciest Runner ability, and it carries the most conditions. Since nearby players can still see a faint outline, it works best at mid-range rather than with a Chaser right beside you. It’s still strong for breaking a Chaser’s read on your path, but three seconds of partial invisibility doesn’t justify the top price.

4. Inflatable Decoy

Tier: A
Cost: 1,200 Gems or 379 Robux
Effect: Sends an inflatable copy running straight ahead for 7 seconds; it pops when caught
Best moment: Splitting off from a group while the Chaser commits to the decoy

The decoy lasts longer than any other Runner effect. However, it only runs in a straight line, so experienced Chasers learn to spot it quickly. Fire it in your current direction, then cut sideways yourself.

5. One Hit Shield

Tier: B
Cost: Free (default)
Effect: Blocks the next hit for 0.75 seconds before breaking
Best moment: The instant a Chaser swings at you

One Hit Shield costs nothing, which makes it a fine starter. The 0.75-second window is the shortest active window in the game, though, so mistimed shields are common. Replace it as soon as you can afford Pocket Door.

Chaser abilities ranked

1. Rufus’s Leash

Tier: S
Cost: 1,625 Gems or 519 Robux
Effect: Throws a leash up to 15 studs ahead and pulls a Runner hit by it up to 6 studs toward you
Best moment: Runners holding a dash’s worth of distance

Rufus’s Leash has the longest reach in the shop, and the pull erases the small gap most Runner escapes depend on. It’s a skill shot, so aim where the Runner is heading, not where they stand. Once you land it consistently, no other Chaser tool converts as many Runners.

2. Rocket Shoes

Tier: S
Cost: 1,300 Gems or 419 Robux
Effect: Dashes in your movement direction, or camera-forward if you’re standing still
Best moment: Restarting a chase after a missed swing

Huss Valley’s movement builds speed gradually, so a stopped Chaser loses ground fast. Rocket Shoes skips that wind-up and needs no aim, which makes it the more reliable S-tier pick for newer Chasers. Leash rewards skill more; Rocket Shoes delivers more often.

3. Big Dagger

Tier: A
Cost: 1,125 Gems or 359 Robux
Effect: Doubles your melee reach for your next hit; expires after 5 seconds
Best moment: Swinging into bunched-up Runners

Big Dagger turns near-misses into tags, especially against groups. Its 5-second window forces you to activate it only when a hit is already likely. It lacks the gap-closing of the two S-tier picks.

4. Bowling Ball

Tier: B
Cost: 600 Gems or 195 Robux
Effect: Rolls a ball along the ground; a direct hit briefly trips a Runner
Best moment: Narrow lanes where Runners can’t sidestep

At 600 Gems, Bowling Ball is the cheapest paid ability in the game. It needs a direct hit, and a ball rolling along the ground is easy to dodge in open space. Save it for tight paths.

5. Bear Trap

Tier: C
Cost: Free (default)
Effect: Throws a trap up to 10 studs ahead; the first Runner to step on it is stuck for half a second; lasts 12 seconds
Best moment: Blocking a popular crossing route before Runners commit to it

Half a second of hold time is short, but the trap stays on the map for 12 seconds and catches the first Runner who steps on it, seen or not. Treat it as area denial at a chokepoint rather than a catching tool.

Best buy order for your Gems

Buying every paid ability costs 9,800 Gems (3,128 Robux), so order matters.

RoleAll paid abilitiesCheapest S-tier route
Runner5,150 GemsPocket Door (875) → Emergency Airhorn (1,450) = 2,325 Gems
Chaser4,650 GemsRocket Shoes (1,300) → Rufus’s Leash (1,625) = 2,925 Gems

Only Runners can collect the Gems scattered on the arena floor, so Runner rounds fund purchases faster. Hence, a Runner-first plan gets you an S-tier kit sooner. Daily quests, events, the lobby wheel and the Gem Boost codes in our Huss Valley codes list speed things up further.

If you play both roles evenly, buy Pocket Door first. It’s the cheapest S-tier ability in the game, and the Gems you earn as a Runner then fund a Chaser pick.

Ability matchups worth knowing

Your loadout matters more when you know what the other side is likely carrying.

  • Pocket Door vs Rocket Shoes: The door sits in the dash path, and the Chaser must smash through or reroute, which wastes the burst.
  • Inflatable Decoy vs Rufus’s Leash: A decoy running straight ahead baits the straight-line leash throw. A missed Leash leaves the Chaser with nothing.
  • Emergency Airhorn vs Big Dagger: The knockback can push a Chaser past even doubled reach before the 5-second window expires.
  • Cloak vs Bear Trap: The trap catches the first Runner who steps on it, so invisibility doesn’t protect you. Avoid known trap spots while cloaked.
  • Cloak and consumables: Using an item ends Cloak, so drink Adrenaline before you cloak, not during it. Adrenaline boosts acceleration and cornering for 5 seconds, which carries into the invisible window.

Consumables cost Coins rather than Gems, and you can equip one per match. Rufus’s Leash pairs well with Banana Peel, since a tripped Runner makes an easy straight-line target.

Signing Off

The October 11 update raised ability prices and added four new abilities, and the free defaults now cover the basics for both roles. One tracker reports a Knives update and event planned for October 13, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET (12:00 PM PT), but the developers haven’t confirmed details.

Another round of balance changes could reshuffle these rankings, so check back after each patch. Fans of asymmetric chase games can also compare roles in our Forsaken tier list and Runaways tier list.
