Huss Valley Abilities

Huss Valley, the Roblox tag game from Huss Valley Official, launched in August 2026 and has quickly built a following among fans of asymmetric chase games like Forsaken. One random player starts as the Chaser, everyone else runs, and every Runner who takes a knife hit switches sides for the next round.

Abilities are what separate a clean three-crossing win from an early conversion. The shop offers six: three for Runners and three for Chasers. Each one costs between 400 and 1,200 Gems, stays unlocked permanently, and only works for its own role. A wrong purchase can set you back several matches of Gem farming. If you have played Runaways, the logic will feel familiar: pick around the role you play most.

Below, you’ll find every ability’s cost, duration, and effect, plus a buy order and the combinations worth knowing.

How abilities work in Huss Valley

Abilities are permanent Gem unlocks. You buy one once, and it carries over to every future match where you play that role. A Runner cannot equip a Chaser ability, and the reverse is also true.

Gems come from two places: end-of-match performance rewards and pickups scattered on the arena floor. Only Runners can collect floor Gems, which makes Runner rounds the faster way to fund any ability.

Coins are a separate currency. They come only from match rewards and buy single-use consumables (Banana Peel, Rescue Kit, Adrenaline), and you can equip just one per match. Don’t mix up the two: Gems build your permanent kit, Coins handle one match.

Importantly, Huss Valley is not the same game as Escape Huss Valley. The two share a name but run on different rules and currencies, so ability guides for one won’t apply to the other.

All Runner abilities in Huss Valley

1. Cloak

Cost: 1,000 Gems
Duration: 3 seconds
Effect: Makes your avatar invisible but gives no damage immunity
Best use: Breaking the Chaser’s read right after a lateral dash

Cloak is the standout Runner pick. Three seconds is enough to change direction unseen, which matters in a game built on reading momentum. However, a Chaser who swings at your predicted path still lands the hit, so never cloak and run straight at them.

2. Pocket Door

Cost: 400 Gems
Duration: 6 seconds
Effect: Creates a temporary door that blocks the Chaser
Best use: Chokepoints and the final stretch before the finish line

Pocket Door costs less than half of any other ability and lasts twice as long as Cloak. That makes it the most Gem-efficient tool in the shop and the natural first purchase.

3. Emergency Airhorn

Cost: 1,000 Gems
Duration: Instant, short range
Effect: Fires a blast that knocks a nearby Chaser backward
Best use: Escaping when a Chaser is already on top of you

Airhorn ranks lowest among Runner abilities. It only works at close range, which means you’ve usually already lost the positioning battle by the time you need it. At 1,000 Gems, Cloak is the better spend.

All Chaser abilities in Huss Valley

1. Rufus’s Leash

Cost: 1,200 Gems
Range: Up to 6 studs
Effect: Throws a leash straight ahead that pulls a Runner toward you
Best use: Punishing Runners who rely on lateral dashes

Rufus’s Leash is the most expensive ability and the strongest Chaser option. Most Runner evasion depends on opening a small gap with a dash, and a 6-stud pull erases that gap. Since it only travels straight ahead, aim where the Runner is going, not where they are.

2. Big Dagger

Cost: 900 Gems
Duration: 5-second window for your next hit
Effect: Doubles your melee range for one attack
Best use: Swinging into crowded Runner groups

Big Dagger turns a near-miss into a tag. Use it when Runners bunch up, since doubled reach into a group almost always connects with someone.

3. Rocket Shoes

Cost: 850 Gems
Duration: Instant dash
Effect: Dashes you in your movement or camera direction while standing still
Best use: Restarting a chase after a stop

Rocket Shoes sits at the bottom of the Chaser list, but it has a niche. Huss Valley uses acceleration-based movement, so you build speed gradually from a standstill. Rocket Shoes skips that wind-up, which helps after a missed swing or an Alt stop.

Which Huss Valley ability should you buy first?

Buy Pocket Door first if you play Runner, and save for Rufus’s Leash if you play Chaser. The full math looks like this:

LoadoutTotal cost
All 3 Runner abilities2,400 Gems
All 3 Chaser abilities2,950 Gems
All 6 abilities5,350 Gems

Runner abilities cost 550 Gems less in total, and Runners are the only ones who can collect floor Gems. Hence, a Runner-first plan completes faster: Pocket Door (400) then Cloak (1,000) gets you the two best Runner tools for 1,400 Gems.

For Chasers, skip Rocket Shoes at the start even though it’s the cheapest. Rufus’s Leash at 1,200 Gems solves the problem Chasers lose to most: Runners who keep a dash’s worth of distance.

Best ability and consumable combos

Since you equip one ability and one consumable, pairing them well adds value without extra Gems.

  • Cloak + Adrenaline (Runner): Adrenaline boosts acceleration and cornering for 5 seconds. Pop it during Cloak to change direction and pick up speed while unseen.
  • Pocket Door + Rescue Kit (Runner): Pocket Door covers the chase; Rescue Kit gives you one revive if the door doesn’t hold.
  • Rufus’s Leash + Banana Peel (Chaser): Drop the peel on a busy route. A tripped Runner is an easy straight-line Leash target.
  • Big Dagger + group pressure (Chaser): Doubled reach works best against clusters, so pair it with moving into the pack rather than tunneling one Runner.
What are abilities in Huss Valley?

Abilities are permanent role-specific unlocks bought with Gems. Runners get escape tools, while Chasers get reach and pull tools.

Do Huss Valley abilities disappear after a match?

No. Once you buy an ability, it stays unlocked for every future match in that role. Only consumables bought with Coins get used up.

Does Cloak make you immune to the Chaser’s knife?

No. Cloak only hides your avatar for 3 seconds. A Chaser who predicts your path can still land the hit.

Can you get free Gems from Huss Valley codes?

Apparently, yes. A code system seems to have arrived around October 11, 2026, with codes offering Gems and Gem Boosts. Check the Huss Valley Codes.
