All Runaways Classes

Runaways has spent over a year in Roblox beta building a loyal heist crowd, and its class system is still the single biggest decision new players get wrong. Developer supercat games launched the title on April 23, 2025, tasking players with robbing houses across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas before making a 17-mile run for the Mexico border. If you’re stacking Credz for the trip, check the Runaways Codes list first, since a couple of active codes hand out enough currency to skip straight to a mid-tier class.

Twelve classes exist in Runaways as of September 2026, and each one locks in a starting loadout plus a permanent stat modifier for that run. Get it wrong and you’re stuck carrying a shotgun with -20% running speed while the police close in. Below is every class, its Credz or Robux cost, and exactly what you get for the price.

How to unlock classes in Runaways

  1. Open Runaways and tap the Classes button on the left-side menu.
Open Runaways and tap the Classes button on the left-side menu.
  2. Scroll the roster and select the class you want.
  3. Confirm the purchase using your saved Credz balance. Ex-Military instead prompts a direct Robux payment.
  4. The class equips automatically the next time you spawn into a run.

Credz builds up through quests, daily play, and redeemable codes, so the free classes near the bottom of the price list are realistic first purchases within a session or two.

All Runaways classes

1. Basic

  • Cost: Free
  • Loadout: None
  • Bonuses: None
  • Penalties: None

Basic is the default class every account starts with. It carries no stat modifiers at all, which makes it a neutral baseline rather than a genuine pick once you have Credz to spend.

2. Brawler

  • Cost: 25,000 Credz
  • Loadout: Knuckle
  • Bonuses: +5% melee strength
  • Penalties: -10% running speed

3. Scout

  • Cost: 35,000 Credz
  • Loadout: Small Backpack, Bat
  • Bonuses: +10% running speed
  • Penalties: -5% melee strength, -20% health

4. Old CEO

  • Cost: 40,000 Credz
  • Loadout: Gold Ruby Necklace, Diamond, Gold Tiara, Diamond Ring
  • Bonuses: None
  • Penalties: -5% running speed, -15% health

Old CEO is the outlier on this list. It’s the only class with zero offsetting bonus, just two penalties, and a loadout of jewelry instead of a weapon. It exists purely as a flavor pick for players who want to roleplay the robbed rather than the robber.

5. Smuggler

  • Cost: 45,000 Credz
  • Loadout: Small Backpack, Crowbar
  • Bonuses: +20% running speed
  • Penalties: -10% melee strength

6. Contractor

  • Cost: 70,000 Credz
  • Loadout: Mace, Pistol, Light Bullet Pack
  • Bonuses: +10% melee strength, +5% health
  • Penalties: -5% running speed

7. Medic

  • Cost: 120,000 Credz
  • Loadout: 2x Medic Bag, Light Armor, Medic Pack
  • Bonuses: +20% health
  • Penalties: -5% running speed

8. Gang Member

  • Cost: 170,000 Credz
  • Loadout: Blue Cow, Small Backpack, MAC, Light Bullet Pack
  • Bonuses: +10% running speed
  • Penalties: -5% health

9. Bounty Hunter

  • Cost: 300,000 Credz
  • Loadout: Machete, Pistol, Light Bullet Pack
  • Bonuses: +20% running speed, +10% melee strength
  • Penalties: None

10. Breacher

  • Cost: 550,000 Credz
  • Loadout: Medium Backpack, Shotgun, C4, Shotgun Bullet Pack
  • Bonuses: +40% melee strength
  • Penalties: None

11. Juggernaut

  • Cost: 850,000 Credz
  • Loadout: Light Armor, Minigun, Medium Backpack, Light Bullet Box
  • Bonuses: +100% health
  • Penalties: -20% running speed

12. Ex-Military

  • Cost: 559 Robux
  • Loadout: Heavy Armor, Heavy Bullet Pack, Large Backpack, Sniper
  • Bonuses: +30% melee strength, +15% running speed
  • Penalties: None

Ex-Military has no Credz path. It’s a straight Robux purchase, it can’t be gifted to another account, and it’s currently the only class in the game with two stat bonuses and zero penalty attached.

Which Runaways class to unlock first

A pattern shows up once you line up all twelve classes: nearly every one trades running speed or health for a combat bonus. Breacher and Bounty Hunter break that pattern by carrying no penalty at all, which makes Bounty Hunter, at 300,000 Credz, the strongest bonus-per-cost pick among classes actually earnable through gameplay.

For a player still grinding early Credz, Scout at 35,000 is the cheapest speed boost on the list, and speed matters more than melee strength before you own a real weapon loadout. Smuggler at 45,000 is a reasonable step up once you can absorb the melee penalty. Save Juggernaut and Breacher for runs where you already have a car fast enough to cover the health or speed tradeoff. Technerdiness’s Runaways Tier List ranks all ten Credz classes S through C if you want a full ranked breakdown before you commit your balance.

Wrapping up

Runaways is still in beta, and supercat games has adjusted systems mid-cycle before, so treat these Credz figures as current rather than fixed. The class economy will likely keep shifting as new heist locations and vehicles get added. For now, the twelve classes above cover every unlock path in the game, free, Credz, and Robux alike.

How many classes are there in Runaways?

Twelve. That includes the free Basic class, nine classes purchasable with Credz, and Ex-Military, which is Robux-only.

Can you unlock Ex-Military without spending Robux?

No. Ex-Military has no Credz price and can’t be earned through quests, daily play, or codes.

Do Runaways class costs change during the beta?

They can. Runaways remains in active beta testing, and Credz prices have shifted before as supercat games rebalances the economy.

Which Runaways class gives the best bonus for its Credz cost?

Bounty Hunter, at 300,000 Credz, delivers two stat bonuses (running speed and melee strength) with no penalty, making it the most efficient earnable pick on the list.

Does a Runaways class stay unlocked across runs?

Yes. Once you purchase a class with Credz or Robux, it’s owned permanently on your account and can be re-equipped from the Classes menu before any future run.
