The Fancy Ragdoll, a fluffy cat Sidekick from the Chic Cat set, arrived in the Fortnite Item Shop with the October 16, 2026 reset in Chapter 7 Season 4. It joins a Sidekick lineup that has grown fast this season, from the free Jimothy Sidekick to collab pets like Pac-Man.
The Fancy Ragdoll costs 1,200 V-Bucks and is an Uncommon Sidekick. It went live at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT) on October 16 and is set to leave at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT) on October 23, 2026. It is not part of a bundle. You can check the listing on Epic’s official Fancy Ragdoll page.
Steps to get the Fancy Ragdoll Sidekick in Fortnite
- Launch Fortnite and open the Shop tab from the lobby.
- Scroll to the Hot Drops section and select Fancy Ragdoll.
- Customize the cat’s coat in the preview screen. Your choices here are permanent.
- Hold the Purchase button until the circle fills to spend 1,200 V-Bucks.
- Go to Locker → Sidekick, equip the Fancy Ragdoll, and jump into a match.

There is currently no free way to get the Fancy Ragdoll. However, the bonus rewards attached to it are free once you own it.
Pick your coat before you pay
This step is where most buyers go wrong. Epic locks the cat’s appearance after purchase, so a rushed choice stays with you. The only way to get a different look is to buy another copy for another 1,200 V-Bucks.
The customization options are named after real Ragdoll cat patterns:
- Fur style: Bi-color, plus Build, Torso and Extremities tone options
- Lynx: On or off, with 24 Lynx color shades
- Saddle: On or off
- Blaze patterns: None, or one of three face-marking variants
- Ears and Nose: Pink, brown or dark
Preview a few combinations against the skins you use most. A light Bi-color coat with a blaze stands out clearly in most biomes, while dark tones blend into night maps.
How to unlock the Fancy Ragdoll’s bonus rewards
Equip the Fancy Ragdoll and play compatible modes such as Battle Royale, Zero Build, Reload and OG. You earn Sidekick Points as you play, and those points unlock extra cosmetics. There is no deadline once you own the cat. You can track your progress in the Quests tab.
1. Le Miaou
- Type: Emoticon
2. Artistic Heart
- Type: Reaction
3. Laser Hunter
- Type: Emote
A Chic Beret style is also reportedly tied to Sidekick Points, though Epic’s listing doesn’t name it yet.
Importantly, Sidekicks are purely cosmetic. Enemies can’t see your cat, and it gives no gameplay advantage.
How the Fancy Ragdoll compares to other cat Sidekicks
Every cat Sidekick has launched at the same price, so the choice comes down to looks and how much you can customize.
| Sidekick | Price | Shop debut |
|---|---|---|
| The Best Cat | 1,200 V-Bucks | December 4, 2025 |
| Cupid Kitty | 1,200 V-Bucks | February 8, 2026 |
| Toony Tabby | 1,200 V-Bucks | May 30, 2026 |
| Meowdas Sphynx | 1,200 V-Bucks | June 19, 2026 |
| Fractal Cat | 1,200 V-Bucks | September 4, 2026 |
| Fancy Ragdoll | 1,200 V-Bucks | October 16, 2026 |
The Fancy Ragdoll has the most pattern controls of the group, which suits players who want a cat that matches a specific outfit.
